Company registration in Egypt for foreign investors
Company formation in Egypt usually runs through GAFI, Egypt's investment authority, and its investor service centres. For first-time Chinese investors the hard parts are Arabic forms, documents that must be legalized back home, and the order of steps across several bodies.
Typical steps
- Choose the legal form, commonly an LLC or a joint stock company, with a lawyer.
- Reserve the name and draft the articles.
- Prepare foreign shareholder documents, notarised and legalized in China, then translated in Egypt.
- File with the authority and complete incorporation.
- Obtain the commercial register and tax card, open a corporate bank account, then sector licences.
Where delays happen
Most delays come from incomplete legalization or inconsistent details, such as a company name spelled differently across documents. Legalize everything you may need in one round before travelling and have a lawyer review it.
Our role
We are neither a government body nor a law firm. We interpret, accompany filings, coordinate steps and introduce lawyers and accountants. Official fees are paid directly to the authorities.
General tips before you start
- Collect and translate documents early; most delays start with a missing paper.
- Keep copies of everything you file and every receipt.
- Rules change, so check current requirements with the authority.
- Use a lawyer or accountant for legal and tax decisions.
- Put agreements in writing, in languages every party understands.
How we work
- Send your request from the booking page or our contact channels: the task, the city and the date.
- The Wang Fu team checks the details and asks about your field and terminology if needed.
- You receive a written quote and plan before anything starts.
- We assign the right person, coordinate on site or remotely, and stay in touch until the job is done.
